The Mitsubishi Lancer was once a popular economy car, and many people loved it for its simplicity, affordability, and fuel efficiency. On the other hand, there were questions about its long-term reliability, which consequently affected its resale value.  In 2007, it was replaced by the Mitsubishi Galant in Japan, but it retained the Lancer name in other markets.
