The Toyota Century is a full-size luxury saloon that has been in production since 1967. The Century is designed with elegance and a premium feel in mind. The name Century is derived from the 100th birthday of the founder of the Toyota Group, Sakichi Toyoda. This luxurious saloon is mainly used by high government officials in Japan and the first generation was powered by a V8 engine. The second generation used a Toyota-designed and built V12 engine before reverting to a V8 with the addition of hybrid technology.
