The Toyota Kluger, also known as the Toyota Highlander in other markets, is a popular midsize crossover SUV manufactured by Toyota. It is the crossover version of the company's more rugged, truck-based midsize 4Runner, and was Toyota's best-selling SUV until surpassed by the smaller RAV4 in 2006. The name Kluger is derived from the German word klug, meaning clever or smart.
